Employer Direct Contracting Summit (Invitation Only)
Monday, September 26, 2016
More and more large employers are exploring direct contracting agreements with hospitals and health care providers. Employers with more than 50,000 employees can benefit from these types of arrangements by lowering costs and providing the highest quality medical care for its employees. This arrangement is also attractive to providers because it allows them the ability to gain access to the purchaser directly and can eliminate costs of contracting with a traditional payer. This results in the purchaser being able to then pass along discounted services to the employer.
According to a 2012 Oliver Wyman Health & Life Sciences Practice survey of over 1,300 employers, nearly 40% of employers say they would be interested in contracting directly with provider organizations for a value-based network.
The Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress in partnership with the World Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress has created a unique opportunity for Employers and Providers to come together to discuss this unique partnership. This year’s Employer Direct Contracting Summit will explore how leading employers are working directly with providers to manage their healthcare costs and better manage their employees’ health. This summit with take a look at provider’s direct contracting relationship with self-funded employers such as Centers of Excellence, Bundled Payments and Narrow Networks.
