Corporate wellness has enjoyed significant growth across the globe in recent years as employers increasingly recognize the benefits of enhancing the health of their employees. Many challenges remain as non-communicable diseases are on the rise in most countries and cultures and systems differ considerably across countries. Important to understand is that most employers outside of the US look beyond health care costs to improving productivity and employee morale via wellness programs.
The session will introduce the corporate wellness strategies of two employers, one based in the United States, the other in the United Arab Emirates. The speakers will highlight the strong senior-level support both programs enjoy as well as discuss the various programs they offer to their employees and how they measure these. Special attention will be paid to the role of culture and the efforts undertaken to accordingly adapt programs.
