Kimberly K. Hutton, MD has made CareATC an industry leader in employer-based health care. Working alongside executive and senior leadership teams, Dr. Hutton directs policy and best practices. CareATC eliminates traditional barriers to quality care by partnering with employers to offer on-site medical clinics to improve the health of their workforce.
In her 3 years as Chief Medical Officer at CareATC, Dr. Hutton has ensured quality patient care in all facilities by working as the liaison and advocate to over 60 physicians practicing in 16 states across the nation. She leads CareATC’s Quality Improvement, Medical Executive, and Peer Review committees. By 2015, she established CareATC as the first and only employer clinic provider to achieve network accreditation status, as awarded by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
Dr. Hutton is very well connected in the greater Tulsa, OK health care market. She joined CareATC as both staff physician and Executive Medical Director in 2007, serving as a corporate physician to American Waste Control, Zeeco, and the Tulsa Fire Department and Tulsa Police Department. Prior to CareATC, Dr. Hutton worked at Utica Park Clinics in Tulsa for 10 years, 4 of which she also spent serving on the Utica Park Medical Executive Committee. Additional past experience includes 2 years as a staff physician at Indian Healthcare Resource Center and 3 years as an emergency room staff physician at Hastings Hospital of the Mayes County Medical Center.
Dr. Hutton’s professional interests include treating chronic disease to goal and reducing the health risks of hypertension, hyperlipidemia and diabetes. Particularly rewarding to Dr. Hutton is the treatment of women’s health issues, mental illness, and pediatric and adolescent health concerns.
Dr. Hutton earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Kansas and her Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed her family practice residency at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, MO in 1999. She was Chief Resident of Trinity Lutheran in 1998-1999, when she was also recognized as “Resident of the Year” by her peers. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and maintains a current medical license in OK, KS, FL, NC, IN, and MO.
