Janet Wincko is the Vice President of Human Resources at City Furniture, South FL’s #1 Furniture Retailer. Janet joined City Furniture in 1989 and was promoted to her current role in 2011. Janet is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources at City Furniture, including Talent Management, Recruiting, Training and Development, Associate Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Organizational Design, Risk Management and HRIS.
Janet is certified as a Professional in Human Resource (PHR) by the Society for Human Resource Management. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Association for Talent Development (ATD), the South FL HR Forum, and Leadership Broward Class XXXIII.
She is also actively involved on the Career Advisory Council for the Career Development Center at Florida Atlantic University, and serves on the boards for Broward County Workforce Development, the MS in HR Management Program for Florida International University, the Florida State University Center for Human Resource Management, as well as the Insurance Advisory Committee for Broward County Public Schools.
Janet earned a Masters Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree (BBA) with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Florida Atlantic University, as well as Associates Degree from Broward Community College (Honors Institute).
She is a native Floridian and she and her husband, Ray have two children, Kayla (20) and Ray III (15).
