What does it mean to deliver WOW?
In every interaction you have the opportunity to ‘do what is needed or expected, or to go above and beyond that. Delivering WOW is about making sure you go above and beyond what is expected!
Why is company culture important?
Culture is everywhere. Even if you have never stepped back to look at your culture, you have one. Paying attention to your culture and being intentional about having a culture that is good for team members and customers can be your advantage when it comes to your company being good for share-holders. People want to be valued as being a PART OF something, rather than just being ‘involved with/employed by’ something. Happy employees give good service more naturally, which means happy customers – which means happy share-holders!
What does the Zappos culture mean to you?
It means I get to be myself, every day! It means that there are no surprises, everything has been clearly explained and the expectations are right there too. I never have to second-guess my actions – as long as I’m using the Core Values to guide them, they are the right actions to take!
What would you like to achieve by speaking at this year’s 5th Annual Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress?
I hope to share the importance of being intentional about your organization’s culture. By defining the values that really reflect ‘Who you are’, you can have staff making decisions with the same guidelines. By committing to live a culture that is good for team members and clients, you can better establish your brand and find happiness for everyone! When people love what they are doing and are passionate about the purpose that drives the business, they will naturally be more engaged and want to create the best experiences for all.
