Linda Ruhi Qualified in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the University of Jordan and continued her studies by completing a four year Diploma with the University of Landegg in Switzerland in World Citizenship and business ethics. She served at the Jordanian Royal Medical Services Laboratory division where she was recommended to Medlabs Jordan and continued her career with them in various laboratory divisions.
Linda moved to Dubai and had a particular interest in working with the younger grassroots to instill ethics; hence she took on a teaching post at Choueifat International school and initiated various community development service projects in many neighborhoods to serve this ideal. She finished her Masters degree from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in Quality and Healthcare management in honors. Later, she was asked to join “Whitby Mohajer Engineers” as their policy and business development director and managed to get this company to become one of the highly reputable companies serving Dubai and its population.
She longed to go back to her medical field so she took on a post of Head of facility regulations at the Health Regulation Department of the Dubai Health Authority(DHA) while continuing her service projects. She developed many policies and regulations that are in practice today and many important projects where she was nominated by HE the Director general of DHA such as The unification of hospital regulation in UAE, the Law of pharmaceutical practices, She was the team the lead for formulating the Medical Tourism Strategy which was initiated by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed Al Maktoum –Crown Prince of Dubai and she was asked to head Medical tourism office henceforth and currently she is in the team devising the Dubai 2021 Strategy.
Linda also serves on the International Association for Medical Regulatory Authorities Working committee She also represented DHA in many conferences as a speaker on their behalf. Linda is a mother of three children and speaks four languages fluently; English, French, Farsi and Arabic being her mother tongue. She enjoys reading in her little free time and she makes enough time to travel the world with her family.
