Advocate Health Care
Nicole Martel serves as the strategic and operational lead for Advocate’s health and productivity program, which is offered to over 29,000 adult participants in the medical plan. With the program’s unique incentive structure, Advocate is focused on helping participants reach their health and wellness goals so that they can take their best health into retirement. This robust program offers complex case management, condition management, health coaching (telephonic and digital), incentives and wellness service discounts. Nicole also continues to work with employer clients of Advocate’s Ambulatory Division by consulting with employers in developing and implementing outcomes-based health management programs. Nicole holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a Bachelor of Science from Northern Illinois University in Community Health and Biology. Nicole is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), an American Lung Association Smoking Cessation Facilitator, a HeartMathTM Provider, and an Intrinsic CoachTM. Beyond these certifications, Nicole is a member of the Worksite Wellness Council of America (WELCOA), the National Wellness Association and the Institute for Health and Productivity Management.
