An avid entrepreneur, researcher and technologist, Riyaad is a founding member of Tesser Health, a healthcare technology firm focused on the idea that being healthy should be simple. An expert at designing, creating and building software, Riyaad has held positions at the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory at Florida International University, various South Florida Hospitals, as well as been a speaker at Health 2.0 Miami, and lectures on a Post Affordable Care Act World. Focused on product management and strategy Riyaad advocates big data tools as a means to drive medical costs down. He drives the Tesser vision of delivering innovative patient centered health care experiences through technology. Along with the Tesser Health team Riyaad currently works with the Department of Anesthesiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the UM Miller School of Medicine faculty prototyping medical applications. Riyaad currently serves on the corporate advisory board for Zagada and Emergent Engineers and is a founding member of Genius Factory. Previously he was on the advisory board for Apptimum, prior to its acquisition by Microsoft. In his capacity as a consultant, Riyaad has worked with Fortune 500 companies such as Wal-Mart, American Express and Tradestation and has consulted with organizations such as Dell, IBM and NASA.
