Tom Boehr is the manager of corporate wellness programs, nutritional services, employee engagement and recognition for Amway Corporation. Tom oversees the people, facilities and programming associated with all workforce health and wellness programs, corporate food services and employee work/life resources & events.
Since assuming these responsibilities in 2006, Tom has lead the transformation of Amway’s wellness programs from activities and events to a formalized business strategy. Progressively cultivating a culture of holistic wellness that is based on sustained and relevant education, personal accountability, and work life balance that extends beyond the workplace.
Tom’s efforts have led to a 51% increase in incentive program compliance from 2010 to 2013, reaching a 92% compliance rate of those eligible in 2013. 73% of participants having either maintained or lowered their risk levels over a 6 year period.
Tom’s focus is now on expanding the scope of Amway’s culture of wellness. Specifically, to redefine wellness to include the transformation of the work environment that encourages physical movement, elevate nutrition as a productive tool and proactively partner with local and regional corporations to lead by example in influencing the broader health of our communities.
Tom has 20 years of professional compensation, recognition and reward experience, and HR consulting in various leadership roles within the healthcare, financial and manufacturing industries.
Since joining Amway in 1995, Tom has held a variety of roles within the Human Resources Division, including Manager, International Human Resources, responsible for aligning corporate HR strategy with global affiliates and Division Consultant for HR and Talent Acquisition.
Tom is a native of Bluffton, Ohio and earned his Bachelors Degree in Business from Taylor University in Upland, IN. Tom resides in Lowell, MI. with his wife Julie and two children, Ashley and Zachary.
