Nathan Hays Will Share How Transparency Can Help Your Healthcare Costs

Nathan Hays headshot (web)Nathan Hays, Manager of Health and Productivity Analytics for Sprint, will speak at next month’s Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress, September 25 – 28 in Washington D.C.

In this role, he supports the strategic design, carrier alignment, and program measurement for Sprint health and welfare programs for approximately 32,000 employees.  He has 20 years of experience in benefits strategy, administration, and production systems support.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Ambassador College.

His session, titled “How Health Care Transparency Technologies Can Enhance Your Health Benefits Strategy” will guide attendees on how to best utilize healthcare transparency solutions to help lower healthcare spending. New technologies provide HR leaders the tools needed to consolidate and enhance their health and wellness programs. Using technology, employees and their families are learning how to shop for healthcare by taking control of how they spend their healthcare dollars, and employers are able to more effectively create behavior change to reduce healthcare costs and increase benefits satisfaction.   By offering a personalized and integrated experience – along with targeted and timely recommendations – you can make it easy and intuitive to make the right healthcare decisions.

“It has been shown that access to cost and quality information actually lowers coat and improves outcomes,” said Hays. “By giving people the information they need to make informed decision, like they have for every other important decision in their lives, they become smart consumers. By helping employees with this information, employers can help make healthcare work better for everyone.”
